It can be understood, both by reasoning and insight, that the eternal essence of things has a dualistic character.

After reading Schopenhauer’s works, despite agreeing with most of his metaphysics, I object to the following: Will is not the ultimate substratum of the inner (phenomenal) world.

Despite the world’s rich multiplicity and its many “others” (other organisms, people, galaxies, etc.), and despite the large number of differentiated parts inside us, including trillions of living cells, each a miracle in itself containing many quarks and atoms, we are stuck in our identity bubble.

Regarding metaphysical inquiries, most of the time we can’t reach the truth.

Is it like an eternal gift? Do we owe something back?

If someone imagines three-dimensional space as “concrete in itself,” it still needs to be contained somewhere, as material things occupy an empty room.

Maybe we need to define some new words and tenses for the paradox of existence?

As beings in the world, we feel (regardless of what the case might be) that this existence is open-ended and different paths could be materialized or realized.

It is plausible that there might be different appearances of the phenomenological world.

If we suppose that the following exist as underlying and pure forms of essence/substance: Potentiality Actuality Necessity it seems that potentiality should be prior.

When you look at the distant past and future, for example thinking about: the state of humanity in 1000 years, the life and cognitive capacity of the first Homo sapiens, the state of the earth in one million years, what was there before the Big Bang, whether the world will end, you feel the here...

Existence shares characteristics with things we created to entertain ourselves. It inherently has game qualities. What could the game/purpose be?

There are two types of emotions.

There are many existential questions that probably cannot be answered inside our frame of reference.

There are ideas and theories that are entirely plausible but cannot be proven with our current tools of logic and our current understanding of science.

Most inquiries into the deepest or ultimate nature of reality conclude: 0: Buddhist emptiness; nihilism (one is not related to the other).

When you go against your urges, instincts, inner animal, and society, not because of reactive impulses but due to rational judgement and intuition, you cease to be an intermediate connector of a chain.

We are born without choosing to be and are shaped by the forces of the environment.

A question came up while I was reading Pragmatism.

One thing we can be almost certain of, by blending some philosophical and scientific concepts, is that the phenomena we see, the outside reality as it is presented to us, is not a complete and accurate description of the underlying existence.
