It is understood, both by reasoning and insight, that the eternal essence of things has a dualistic character. Dualism is everywhere and it has been known since ancient times across all human cultures.

The most intuitive duality is the one of the two eternal polar opposites, whose origin is unexplainable with our current knowledge AND it seems that it will always be unexplainable no matter the technological or scientific advancement.

The one side of the eternal duality has to do with the order that is observed across the whole universe, time/space, our mathematical equations, the logic in our minds etc. Let’s baptize it now temporarily, though naming it makes it lose 80% of its appeal and/or adds irrelevant context. Let it be called LOGOS, as it has been named many times before across philosophy and religion. Logos is the essential spark of logic and everything that follows rules. It has been named this way before, as we all know, but please let’s not connect it to irrelevant historical notions.

The Logos keeps everything coherent and in order. It is the reason we see determinism everywhere. It is the reason we can predict and exist in general.

Something that is opposite to this eternal essence, is the feeling we get from existing. The qualia, the consciousness, the experience, the screen, the mirror of everything. The underlying substance that makes us feel alive. The one without which everything would be dark and meaningless. Let’s baptize it temporarily the LIGHT as a metaphor already used in the phrase “light of consciousness”, because it is the one that gives quality to things, it colors our existence.

The next question is how these two are glued together. Are they two aspects of the same ONENESS? Or is there a third glue/connector like the divine play? And even if there is a third, or maybe potentially more connectors, maybe infinite, are they STILL forms of the ONE?

If there is the One, what makes it shatter? There should be something else that makes it shatter. Can it shatter itself?

This antinomy of:

  • there could not be more than one; there is an inseparable one
  • there cannot be just one, something else must create the multiplicity

must be the essence of the eternal plane of existence, the one that we cannot experience or comprehend. There must be a way to gather all these rules from the antinomies and use a non-classical logic that transcends our limits but fits the cosmos.
